Outlet settings

Use an outlet's Settings to configure that outlet alone, so two outlets in one property can trade differently. Settings sits under the outlet's name in the sidebar, and editing it needs the Manage Outlet Settings permission. Changes save as you make them.

Identity

  • Outlet name: shown in the sidebar, on receipts, and on the ordering page.
  • Invoice prefix: goes in front of every invoice number this outlet issues.
  • Account: where the outlet's sales book in the chart of accounts.

A guest shop also has Sell past zero here, which lets a sale go through when the stock count says none are left.

Currency

  • Bill currency: the currency bills and reports are kept in. It does not have to be the property's base currency.
  • Display currency: optional. A second currency shown to guests beside the bill total.
  • Sell rate: how much bill currency one unit of the display currency costs. For example, 15.42 means 1 USD = 15.42 MVR.

The sell rate is for guests only

The sell rate prices the bill in the display currency and converts display-currency payments into bill credit. Revenue and profit and loss always use the property's valuation rate, so the sell rate is a pricing decision, not an accounting one.

Charges

The charges every bill at this outlet carries. Each has a Name, a Type (Service charge, Tax, or Other fee), a Rate %, and what it Applies to (Subtotal or Running total). They apply top to bottom, so a tax on the running total includes the rows above it. They belong to the outlet, separate from the property's reservation charges in Taxes and charges.

Open orders use the current charges. Once you select Bill out, the order keeps its charge names, rates, and total until it is reopened. A settled bill never changes, and a removed charge is turned off, never deleted.

An outlet's charges are its own

An outlet does not inherit the property's reservation charges. If the outlet is not charging the right tax, check this section first.

Payment methods

Tick which of the property's payment methods this outlet accepts. Each is shown with its settlement type. If the property has no payment methods yet, add them under the property's Payments settings first.

An outlet with nothing ticked can only take room charges, and the tender dialog says so.

Receipt

The printed receipt's details:

  • Receipt header: Address, Phone, and Tax ID, plus a Logo and an optional Secondary logo (PNG or JPEG, up to 5 MB).
  • Bank details: Bank label, Bank account, and a Payment note printed under them.
  • Receipt footer: the Footer, the last lines of every receipt.

Table orders

Restaurant outlets only. Guests order from the QR code on their table:

  • Auto-accept table orders: send a new table order straight to the kitchen instead of waiting for staff to accept it in the Table orders panel.
  • Earn loyalty, with an Earn rate in points per unit of bill currency, so table orders earn loyalty points.

The Table QR codes card prints one code per table with Print sheet. Newly printed codes keep working when you rename a table; older codes that contain only the table's label need reprinting after a rename. A code opens the ordering page for that table, and the order sits on that table: the floor shows it occupied, the kitchen ticket names it, and staff settle the bill at the table like any other order. While a table has an open order, its code sends guests to a member of staff instead of taking a second order. Nothing is paid online. A property with the Outlets module turned off, and an outlet with no tables, has no ordering page.

Bookings

Spa and activities outlets only. When bookings are charged sets whether a booking is charged after the treatment or activity, or when it is booked.

Printers

Two printers are set up per terminal: the Receipt printer, which prints the guest bill and the settlement receipt, and the Kitchen printer, which prints kitchen order tickets when an order is fired. Select Claim printer to connect a USB printer through the browser on this terminal, Test print to check it, and Forget to release it. Each terminal claims its own printers, so claiming on one machine does not affect another.

  • Cashier: where these settings show up in service.
  • Outlets overview: what an outlet is and which permission opens each screen.
